Senceive provide design, manufacture and continuous improvement of wireless condition monitoring technology. Primarily working within rail, construction and mining environments on a global basis.

Supporting Senceive

SELECTiVE supported Senceive with a number of permanent Business Development and Product Management positions focused on the UK, central Europe and the USA. Our understanding of rail sector was key here.

Challenges

Senceive have internal HR/recruitment support; however the capacity isn’t always there to be able to conduct detailed search for more niche positions. External recruitment support previously had produced very mixed results with a number of irrelevant CV’s submitted. Candidates were required with strong geotechnical monitoring and instrumentation & monitoring expertise. In the case of one BDM position there was a real desire to get a candidate also with a strong rail background to supplement work in this sector.

The Solution

A RaaS light solution was chosen. This allowed Sencieve to outsource certain roles to SELECTiVE to focus on whilst allowing the HR team at Senceive to concentrate on other requirements. For us working as a key outsourced member of the Senceive team meant that they were our key focus and that by really understanding requirements only suitably qualified candidates would be put forward. Working in this way also allowed us to spend the time building outreach campaigns (how we target candidates) that couldn’t be done in a traditional way.

Processes

A RaaS light approach to recruitment is a partnership in this case between SELECTiVE and Senceive. Starting with a thorough understanding of the business, vacancy and process. Through this work a “candidate attraction” process and selection methods are developed. In this case a 3 stage process was agreed with SELECTiVE carrying out first screens and stage 2 & 3 conducted by Senceive.

Outreach

Outreach campaign results (how we target candidates) were very well received, for example for our Product Manager – Geotechnical 77% of people targeted saw our landing page and read our outreach campaign with 50% responding to this and 23% interested in learning more. This was to a target audience of over 140 prospective candidates

Results

Ultimately a number of succesful hires have been made ensuring important roles arern’t left unfilled and candidate pools have been created with real interest in working for Senceive in the future.
